The Centre for Advancement
of Philanthropy (CAP) is a service organization established in 1986
to provide advice and assistance to philanthropic institutions.
The Centre provides guidance,
advice and assistance to a wide range of philanthropic institutions,
including grant making foundations, voluntary agencies , advocacy
groups and development agencies in areas of charity law, taxation,
resource mobilization, human resource development and effective
management. The Centre has on its board of management, resource
persons of diverse skills and experience (including a retired charity
commissioner, a retired income tax commissioner, financial consultants
etc.) whose expertise it regularly taps upon or makes available
to all those who seek assistance.
